The refugee crisis is global; but most of it is invisible. 86% of the world’s refugee population live in the Global South (Latin American, Middle East, Asia, and Africa), and over 60% reside in cities, not camps. Yet, the international system relies mainly on refugee camps to support those in need. As a result, over 12 million urban refugees struggle to survive, facing precarious living conditions, discrimination, exploitation, and a lack of access to basic services. We are the only organization in the world working exclusively to change that. Our work puts refugees at the center of solutions, and provides the tools to amplify their voice—because no one sees the path beyond this crisis better than those at the heart of it.
